Environmental Protection Policy

As one of the leading producers of fresh meat in the region, Rakitno Meat Industry d.o.o. is firmly committed to environmentally responsible and sustainable development.

We are confident that pollution prevention at its source can be achieved by integrating the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard into our management system. In doing so, we commit to the following:

• The environmental impact of all our activities will be regularly measured and evaluated. Necessary environmental protection measures will be implemented according to a priority list, ensuring that the most significant environmental aspects are improved as quickly as possible.
• Timely identification and application of all legal regulations and other environmental requirements relevant to our operations.
• Taking all necessary measures to control potential environmental incidents and accidents, and, wherever possible, mitigating or preventing the resulting environmental pollution.
• Careful handling and optimal use of chemicals and energy resources. Wherever possible, valuable waste will be directed towards reuse or recycling.
• Continuous and transparent promotion of the principles of maintaining a healthy and pleasant environment. We will develop and encourage environmental awareness among employees so they can fully contribute to the implementation of this policy.
• Developing open dialogue with authorities and other institutions on all matters relevant to the company’s environmental management.
• Annual review of the environmental protection policy and the effectiveness of implemented measures, in order to achieve continuous improvement and adapt to emerging changes.

All employees are required to be familiar with this Environmental Protection Policy and to apply it within the scope of their work.
